I did receive this as an ARC from Netgalley.com, which was apparently uncorrected. The sentence syntax, spelling, and grammar were not on par with a nearly finished book.
I don't understand how Rose could jump from not having much of a clue about her "inner self" to ready to take on the bad guy, knowing she was the only person who could stop him. It was pretty unbelievable considering she spent the entire novel in the dark about who she really was.
Even as Aiden told her, she was incredulous. It made no sense that she was ready to dump Morgan, and head off with Aiden to do whatever. And I thought her grandmother was someone to be feared, not kidnapped at the end. How did she let Ben Deverill get away with everything he had been doing?
I don't know if I'll read anymore of these books. The plot is good and there could be so much done with it, but the execution left much to be desired.
